BeITsmart

BeITsmart allows you to efficiently manage all of your desktops, servers and laptops located anywhere in your organisation, using the secure BeITsmart web service. This is a cost effective option for organisations whose aim is to outsource inventory management and for those organisations that have a smaller network.

Key features include the following:  

  • Effective Asset Tracking with detailed software and hardware reports. This information, will enable you to calculate the effort and cost required to rollout software upgrades.

  • Software License Compliance reports which detail the actual number of licences installed

  • Change History reports which detail the "what and when" of any hardware/software changes, made to your PCs, laptops and servers.

  • Performance Monitoring of key parameters such as network activity, CPU utilization, reboots, and more.

  • Automatic daily updates of PC profile data and reports.

  • Cost effective at £12.50 per PC per year. The minimum charge for 20 PCs will apply - £250 per year.

How to install and use the service:

  • Sign up for service. Click here sign up or request a demo.

  • Download and install the special tagged BeITsmart client on your PCs and servers. The client runs on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4, 2000, and XP. Installation can be done via a login script, e-mail attachment or a diskette.

  • When you computers connect to your network, they will also connect to the BeITsmart server and the PC profile information will be captured. For PCs that do not connect to the network, a diskette can be used to upload the PC profile via the secure web page.

  • Management reports can be viewed via a secure web browser which users authentication.

  • All reports are updated daily - all changes which have occurred during the day will be reflected.

Security is ensured with the use of the following technology:

  • Individual, unique, encrypted Username and Passwords. Your browser must support SSL encryption. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is used to encrypt your username password and PC reports.

  • Server Authentication

  • Timed logoff after 30 min on inactivity.

  • Firewalls which accept entry of approved users only.

  • Cookies are not used.
